St Thomas Aquinas RC Secondary School in Glasgow will create an all-girls code club, The STEMinists, to help increase uptake of computing science amongst female students and remove the stigma that it is boring or a ‘male subject.’ Participants will learn to code using platforms and devices like Sphero BOLT+, Scratch, and the BBC micro:bit V2. Learners will also develop skills such as logical and algorithmic thinking, testing and debugging, as well as teamwork and communication.
